OUR OBJECTIVES
- To advocate, lobby and undertake research, in relation to issues and concerns of Logan’s culturally diverse communities, in order to enhance their quality of life
- To take a proactive role in the development of a culturally and linguistically diverse society
- To assist and service the development of emerging groups towards full participation in society and to respond to the changing needs of more established communities
- To raise awareness of issues and to explore solutions relating to a culturally and linguistically diverse society within the general community and within more targeted audiences
- To identify and promote “best practice” models across government, non-government organisations and ethnic communities
- To acknowledge, promote, facilitate and support cohesion among our diverse communities and to emphasize positive contributions of diversity to society as a whole
- To develop partnerships and maintain existing relationships with local community and government groups
- To plan and implement festivals and events that enhance cultural awareness and community harmony
